Devious Journal Entry

:painter:...Giorgio Sarto has been street painting for 24 years now. His pictures are fading with every new day, in the city he lives in you could not imagine the great train station without him kneeling on the pavement painting something new yet always in his style...
Some people pass him by with condencendance... others with admiration... He meets the gap between the people with his fast painted pictures... "I let them paint" he sais about his own work. I found it was time to introduce him to DA to meet this candid ever growing community... while I translate for him,... enjoy his work and leave some words about what u think :)

Check out more of his stuff... Website>[link]

I don't care what you are doing, so much as the idiotic way you are doing it.

oh yeah, and welcome to DA! (translator of the artist, as i see now, hehe!) does he know? now im a bit confused, is this whole page dedicated to his work or is some of it yours too?
:iconart-giosar:
oh yeah, he knows ;).. always sits next to me when I work on his page.. all of it is his.. I just brought him here and help fill the language gap... :begone: :giggle:

kick ass! say hi for me! oh, and yeah - the category thing always gets me too for certain things. Ive done a couple of installations - they dont REALLY go in sculpture, and they arent photos... they are... installations! environments!
one of my favorite words for art with hard to define boundaries: intersticial art. :)
its a painting, on a public surface, its not graffiti, it might be a performance, its immovable... yeah. its just art. ;)
:iconzyphryus:
Thanks for adding me to your list!
Hey, I love your deviations! Street art is such a great idea :D
I respect anyone who can do their work in such a crowded space amongst so many people. ill have to add you and see what comes next.
a word of advice - you should submit the photos of your work on pavement in the actual trad. art categories - rather than photo - the pavement gives the work so much power, because it shows the work for what it truly is!
when you crop it and put the black frame around it... something becomes flat, and there is not as much life (in my opinion) show the work in its true element! its shines so well that way!
:iconart-giosar:
thank you for your advice... I got a simliar comment when I posted his first paintings with only black frame... and then started showing the pavement in more posts... the categoy thing was a problem for me still so far.. I appreciate that help.. I keep wondering if I need to call it a photograph when u see too much of the surrounding of the painting... but after all it is a streetpainting.. many thanks

 Thank you for the FAVES! :highfive: I love your :gallery: so far!
